Meet Effie

Meet Effie (and her Elephant!), the beautiful little inspiration behind Love Effie and Friends.

When you go into hospital to have your baby, you never think that you will be leaving hospital without your baby. You never think you will walk out with nothing more than a memory box and a broken heart, quickly that memory box becomes one of the most important things you will ever own. 

One of the items that was in Effie's memory box was her footprints. I knew I wanted to create something with them. Along came her original Effie-phant. After speaking to other mummies to babies like Effie, I realised that this would be something that would be so meaningful to others. 

Since then, I have drawn a whole family of animals to join our Effie-phant. 

I realised that this could be a way to not only help other parents, but also raise money and awareness of some of the amazing charities and causes that have helped us as a family since losing Effie.
